10 Sexiest Classic Cars

1938 Delahaye 165 Roadster

1. 1938 Delahaye 165 Roadster

Figoni and Falaschi were automotive art deco royalty, having worked with Bugatti, Delage, Rolls-Royce, Talbot Lago, and Delahaye, with which the coachbuilders worked extensively.
It’s almost impossible to pick out the sexiest of the F&F Delahayes, as there were hundreds of unique designs made, but we decided that this red 1938 Delahaye 165 Roadster best represents Figoni and Falaschi, Delahaye, and its amazing art deco stable-mates.

1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Coupe

2. 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Coupe

Gullwing doors are one of the most eye catching automotive design elements, but all too often they’re either from tacky aftermarket kits or were included by the designer for the sole purpose of looking flashy.
In the 300SL, the car for which they were invented, they served a very valuable purpose though; they allowed for additional reinforcement of the chassis near the bottom of the car that helped the 300SL to go on to be a world-beating supercar and race car.

1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic

3. 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic

A little more than two years ago, the ’36 Bugatti Type 57C Atlantic became known as the “most expensive car in the world,” after it sold for more than $30 million. It is believed that only two remain today.
The car was based on the ’35 Aerolithé concept and maintained many of the stand-out features, including that well-known seam that runs from the nose, through the windshield and all the way to the boot.

1961 Jaguar E-Type

4. 1961 Jaguar E-Type

Enzo Ferrari described the Jaguar E-Type as “the most beautiful car ever made” and we’re not going to be the ones to disagree with him.
It’s dramatically proportioned, and beautiful in a way that makes it seem almost organic.
That said, a lot of people think it looks remarkably like a penis.Hopefully the ladies like that.

1967 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale

5. 1967 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale

Alfa Romeo is a brand defined by sex appeal and fun; when making a car, those seems to always be the driving factors behind the design and engineering.
As emotionally engaging as all Alfas are, the Tipo 33 Stradale is certainly the most breath-taking of the bunch.
The whole concept was that it brought some of the company’s amazing race tech to the street, and did so while clad in one of the most beautiful bodies ever made.

1948 Cadillac Series 62 Saoutchik 3-position drophead

6. 1948 Cadillac Series 62 Saoutchik Cabriolet

Jaques Saoutchik was a giant in the coachbuilding game. From his 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik Torpedo to his 1948 Delahaye 175s Coupé, he’s built some of the most stunning cars of all time.
Saoutchik was all about over-the-top risks, and the Cadillac Series 62 was a complete refelction of this mentaily.
The front fenders overflow from the nose, over the front tires and sweep through to the rear. They are empahsized by two sharp, but large, swipes of chrome that match.
The car is further set apart by the tri-tone scheme, including hand-applied canework on the door panels.

1938 Talbot-Lago T150 C SS Teardrop Coupe

7. 1938 Talbot-Lago T150 C SS Teardrop Coupe

Yeah, it’s another ’30s art deco car. Don’t blame us for being able to appreciate the greatest design decade of all time.
The 150 C, C standing for “Competition,” has the teardrop styling similar to the Bugatti 57SC Atlantic, but isn’t as well known.
That could be because Talbot-Lago no longer exists, but the fact that only 11 examples of this car exist today make it extremely note-worthy.
Another masterpiece by Figoni et Falaschi, the ’38 coupe has emphasized emotional curves, grilles over each headlight and the streamlined seam running through the car.

 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540k Special Roadster 8. 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540k Special Roadster

Mercedes-Benz is mostly known for making technologically impressive, conservatively styled, and very well built cars, and the ’36 540K Spezial Roadster is two of those things.
Rather than being conservatively styled, the 540k was a long-nosed statement of wealth, style, and Benz’s sporting pride.
Production was cut short due to the second world war, and thus only a few were made, and even fewer survived.
The 540k holds the record for the most expensive pre-war car to have ever been sold at auction ($11,700,000) and is the most expensive car that isn’t a Ferrari 250.

1925 Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Phantom I Round Door Coupé

9. 1925 Rolls-Royce Jonckheere Phantom I Round Door Coupé

Most Rolls-Royces follow a beloved, but predictable formula: a massive, boxy sedan with an upright silver grille and an attitude that says, “don’t touch me, peasant,” but the Jonckheere Phantom I Round Door Coupé managed to retain the imposing stature of the more run of the mill Rolls while taking on a wild and unpredictable life of its own.
From the center crease to the signature round doors, every panel of this car is a masterpiece.
1936 Auburn Boattail Speedster Sexiest Classic Cars
10. 1936 Auburn Boattail Speedster

This is, hands down, the most elegant American sports car ever made.
Not only does it have smooth, sensual art deco lines, but its reputation was made by gangsters, test drivers who took every single car up to 100mph on public highways, and rakish young men who spent their free time in double breasted suits with women in scandalously short skirts.

10 Color Shifting Paint Jobs

2014 Ford Mustang GT
#1.  Ford Mustang GT

This color-shifting paint job takes the classic Mustang and gives it that “wow” factor.  Starting with a black base, a 4 color chameleon pearl pigment is applied causing the colors to shift from orange to purple, to pink and finally to gold depending on how the light hits it.  There’s no doubt that when this Mustang rolls down the highway all eyes are drawn to its head turning paint job.

TVR Sagaris
#2.  TVR Sagaris

Seeing a TVR Sagaris on the road doesn’t happen very often.  Seeing a TVR Sagaris sporting a duo-chrome paint job happens even less.  So when I saw the picture above I couldn’t help but scream out, “They do exist!”  And my goodness, they’re stunning.  Those Brits really know how to make breathtakingly beautiful cars, the cool AF paint is just a bonus.

Evo X
#3.  Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X

When I first saw this Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X all that came into my mind was a June bug.  Everything from the overall shape of the car to its unique blue/green color shifting paint reminds me of that bug.  All that’s left for this cars metamorphosis to be complete is a set of wings.

Audi B5
#4.  Audi B5 A4

This entry-level luxury car is one of Germany’s finest imports.  Seeing one rocking such an attention seeking paint job doesn’t happen too often, so when it does you can’t help but to pay attention.  The look is achieved by using PlasmaColor shifting pigment and Black Betty pearl pigment mixed into a matte base and then sprayed onto the car.  The finished look is amazing, not to mention, extremely unique.

Audi S4
#5.  Audi S4

Of all the chameleon cars on this list, this one has got to be my absolute favorite.  The car is an f-ing rainbow on wheels.  Mad props goes to the person who decided to take an Audi and spray it with a kaleidoscope of bright colors and call it done.  You my friend, are an absolute car genius.  I wonder if the rainbow look would change my 2001 piece of crap car into a stunning show piece?  Yeah, didn’t think so.

1940 Chevy Special Deluxe Coupe
#6.  Chevy Special Deluxe Coupe

What happens when you take a vintage Chevy and dip it in red to orange color shifting paint?  You get the coolest looking car on the hot rod scene. This Chevy is the epitome of cool and the shine it gives off is almost blinding.  When I look at this stunner, it takes me back to a time when life was simpler and car like this one were king.

Acura NSX
#7.  Acura NSX

First of all, look at that shift… It goes from straight up pumpkin orange to Laker purple depending on the angle.  That sort of shift is relatively hard to achieve because duo-chromes typically shift in the same tonal family because they produce a more vibrant and visible change.  Is it just me, or do you think of Halloween when you look at this Acura?  BOO!!

Chevrolet Corvette Z06
#8.  Chevrolet Corvette Z06

First of all, we’ve got a freaking American classic here and its name is Corvette.  I’ll give you a minute to take in all this iconic beauty has to offer… So now that we’ve acknowledged the awesomeness that is the Corvette, let’s talk about why we’re here:  the paint job.  It’s very hard to improve upon a Corvette when it comes to aesthetics, that being said, this color shifting paint job almost seems made for this car.  The dramatic shift from purple to orange is absolutely stunning and that shine tho… Nothing more need be said.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS
#9.  Chevy Camaro SS

It takes a lot to impress me and this Camaro impresses the hell out of me.  Not only did someone have the balls to take a classic muscle car and trick it out, but they took it a step further and made it all sorts of green.  Since neon green hues aren’t always the first choice when choosing paint, you gotta give it up to whomever chose this.

1967 Pontiac GTO
#10.  Pontiac GTO

Probably the most subtle of all the color shifting paint jobs on this list is this Pontiac GTO.  Although it is subtle is still manages to make a statement and isn’t that why you trick out cars in the first place?  The noteworthy thing about this GTO is that hint of indigo that only comes out when the light hits it just right.  It’s absolutely beautiful.
